Kaoru Kyonosuke is a teacher at Hakuō Academy. He is usually seen building Gundam models in the staff room or during lunch. He spends all his money buying Gundam models and even borrows money from Yukiji to buy more. He is 28 years old but he is still single and without a girlfriend.

In episode 29 of the anime, it is revealed that he has feelings for Yukiji, who he has known from childhood.
